There are two ways to zoom in and out of the timeline in DaVinci Resolve. Let’s cover both.

How to Zoom In And Out The Timeline In DaVinci Resolve With a Shortcut?

The first way involves a keyboard shortcut which is the fastest and recommended way. Press the following keys on your keyboard to zoom in and out.

This might be hard to remember as a beginner (for the first few times), but I recommend using shortcuts whenever possible for a faster workflow.

How to Zoom In and Out The Timeline In DaVinci Resolve?

You can zoom in and out of the timeline in DaVinci Resolve using the keyboard shortcuts I mentioned above, but you can also do it from within Resolve.

Notice “” and “+” buttons are highlighted in the screenshot below.

These indicate “zoom out” and “zoom in”.

By pressing “” and “+” you can adjust the scale of the timeline in DaVinci Resolve.

Alternatively, you can use the slider between “” and “+” buttons to zoom in and out of the timeline in DaVinci Resolve.
